The Magical Full Moon in Pisces Wants You To Dream Big

The Full Moon in Pisces is coming up on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 7:54 PM EST. With the Moon at 28° Pisces and the Sun at 28° Virgo, this dreamy full moon will usher in the end of Virgo season. Known as the Harvest Moon, it’s the closest Full Moon to the Autumn Equinox and really signifies the end of the summer and the start of the new Fall season.

Full Moons happen once a month, when the Sun is exactly opposite the Moon. This aspect, also known as a Sun/Moon opposition, always happens in sister signs (signs that are exactly opposite each other on the Zodiac wheel). So whatever Sun sign season we’re in, the Full Moon will be happening in the sign exactly opposite it.

This particular Full Moon is happening on the Virgo/Pisces axis, since the Sun is in Virgo. Full Moons carry the energy that has been building up since the previous New Moon, bringing it to a point of cumulation—and release.

With the previous New Moon in Virgo which happened two weeks ago on September 6, 2021, we had the chance to connect with the grounded, practical energy of Virgo to set goals and intentions for the new Fall season.

After a full month of Virgo season, when we’ve settled back into the details of our day-to-day lives, the Full Moon in Pisces serves as an opportunity to reconnect with something bigger than our to-do lists.

It pulls us out of the routine and provides us with a healthy dose of creativity and inspiration.

The Virgo/Pisces Axis

The Virgo/Pisces axis is one of the most powerful (and spiritual) polarities in the Zodiac. Like all sister signs, on the surface they seem to have nothing in common.

Virgo is an Earth sign, detail-oriented and communicative. Pisces is a Water sign, idealistic and dreamy.

Where Virgo is cerebral, Pisces is intuitive. Virgo rules the tangible and the material, and Pisces is immersed in the mystical and the infinite.

While Virgo is an expert dealing with the small pieces, Pisces is always connected to the bigger picture.

But, as we see with this Full Moon in Pisces, these signs are intimately connected. Together, they help us dream our biggest dreams—and figure out the necessary details to get there.

It’s a unifying Full Moon, and reminds us of the importance of our connection to something bigger than ourselves.

For one night in Virgo season, the physical bounds of reality wash away as we’re immersed in a wave of dreamy inspiration and creative imagination. It’s a great chance to reflect on our dreams, transcending beyond the small details to reawaken our connection with the whole.

Working With The Energy Of The Pisces Full Moon

Visualize the future you want, and release whatever doesn’t fit into that ideal. With this Full Moon, you’ll have both the insight and the emotional intuition to guide you past the small details and into the world of infinite possibility.

This Full Moon is also making a significant aspect to Pluto in Capricorn at 25 degrees, which brings in an extra layer of awareness and empowerment. Forming a Sextile to the Moon and a Trine to the Sun, Pluto in Capricorn will play a key role in the intensity of this full moon

As our emotions and dreams are illuminated with this Full Moon in Pisces, we have access to an even deeper understanding of ourselves and our motivations. It might trigger some intense interactions that lead to emotional deep-dives and greater self-knowledge, giving us an even stronger connection to our intuition.

Overall, this Full Moon is an excellent opportunity to shine a light on your deepest dreams and aspirations, releasing whatever doesn’t fit into your ideal. Allow yourself to forget about the small details for a moment and visualize the future of your dreams.

Trust that you’ve got everything you need to bring it to life.
